Often you need only a small part of a long PDF. A bank sends a 40-page statement and the visa office wants the two pages that show your salary. A textbook chapter runs from page 112 to page 131 and you want to share just that with your study group. A contract has one signed page that the other side asked for. Extract pages takes the pages you choose and saves them as a new, smaller PDF, while your original file stays exactly as it was.
After you add your PDF, every page appears as a thumbnail, so you can see what you are picking instead of guessing from page numbers. Tap a page to choose it and tap it again to leave it out. You can also type numbers in the box: single pages separated by commas, and ranges with a dash, such as 1, 4-6, 12. Tapping and typing stay in sync, and the main button always shows how many pages will go into the new file.
The pages are copied, not redrawn. Text stays real text that you can search and copy, images keep their full quality, and links inside the pages keep working. The new file keeps the pages in the same order as the original. If you want a different order, open the result in Organize PDF afterwards and drag the pages where you want them.
Everything happens in your browser on this device. The file is never uploaded to a server, so it is safe to use with bank statements, medical reports, ID cards and other private papers. There is nothing to install and no account to create, and it works on a phone as well as on a computer.
A few tips. To cut one PDF into several separate files in one go, Split PDF is quicker. To delete a handful of pages and keep the rest, use Remove pages. If the PDF asks for a password when you open it, unlock it first with Unlock PDF, then come back. And if the new file needs to be smaller for an upload form, Compress PDF is one tap away on the result screen.
